Summer in the city feels like a giant steamer, where even the wind carries heat.
But at Tianzhushan, early summer stays at a pleasant 20°C. The moment you enter the mountains, the air feels cool, fresh, and gently moist, as if nature has switched on its own giant air conditioner.
With a forest coverage rate as high as 98%, Tianzhushan is known as a “Natural Oxygen Bar of China.” The world is wide — come spend a 20°C summer at Tianzhushan.

Easy Access

A refreshing getaway made simple

  • By high-speed rail: Take the train to Qianshan Station. After exiting the station, you can transfer directly to the scenic area shuttle bus (about RMB 10 one way per person), which reaches Chazhuang Visitor Center in around 40 to 50 minutes.

  • By car: Simply navigate to Tianzhushan Scenic Area Chazhuang Visitor Center or Tianzhushan Longtanhe Visitor Center, where vehicles can be parked in the designated visitor center parking lots.

  • By cableway: The scenic area offers three cableways — Dalongwo Cableway, Muyanghe Cableway, and Longtanhe Cableway — making it easier to ascend the mountain.

  • Scenic shuttle transport: At Chazhuang Visitor Center, visitors can transfer to internal scenic shuttle buses (RMB 15 one way per person; RMB 25 round-trip combined ticket), with routes connecting the various hiking entrances.

Early Summer Highlights

Every step reveals a new wonder

Strange peaks, fantastic rocks, seas of clouds, and hidden caves — Tianzhushan UNESCO Global Geopark is breathtaking at every turn.
In early summer, the mountain is especially enchanting in the morning, when mist wraps around the peaks and casts a dreamy golden glow over the sharply contoured granite formations.
You can choose a compact route covering the highlights or challenge yourself with a more complete panoramic adventure.

  • Main Peak Highlights Route (3–4 hours):
Ascend via Dalongwo Cableway → Zhenyi Ridge → Mystery Valley → Tianchi Peak (one of the best viewpoints for the main peak) → Hundred-step Ladder → return.
This route is easy, efficient, and packed with classic scenery.

  • Panoramic Grand Loop (5–6 hours, highly recommended):
Ascend via Dalongwo Cableway → Zhenyi Ridge → Mystery Valley → Tianchi Peak → Dragon’s Ridge → Lianhua Peak → Alchemy Lake → Great Heavenly Gate → Tianshi Peak → glass walkway → descend via Longtanhe Cableway.
Enter from the west and exit from the east for fewer crowds, better scenery, and no backtracking. Along the way, you can stop at Dragon’s Ridge and admire the dramatic grandeur of Tianzhushan’s natural fault landscape.

Travel Tips

A little preparation makes the journey better

  • The mountain is about 8–10°C cooler than the city, so bring a light windproof jacket, especially for summit viewpoints.

  • Tianzhushan features stone-step mountain trails, so a pair of non-slip hiking shoes and a trekking pole will make the trip much more comfortable.

This summer, let’s set off together and head for a refreshing date with Tianzhushan.
