On August 19, the seventh day of the seventh lunar month, the 2026 4th Tianzhushan Wedding Tourism Culture Season and the “Tianzhu Has Love” Opera Music Concert opened romantically at Tianzhushan Scenic Area and the Xuehuli Historic and Cultural District. Couples, married pairs, opera enthusiasts, photography lovers, and self-driving tourists from across the country gathered at Tianzhushan to spend a distinctive Qixi amid an atmosphere where landscape and national style intertwined. As a signature Qixi cultural tourism IP continuously cultivated by Tianzhushan, this year’s event was themed “Destiny Set at Tianzhu · Love Rooted in Xuehuli.” Through a full-day experience of “climbing Tianzhushan by day and touring Xuehuli by night,” it presented visitors with a romantic celebration witnessed by mountains and waters and infused with national-style charm.

On the morning of the event, following the opening ceremony, the immersive NPC mountain check-in and romance-seeking journey across Tianzhushan’s six love-themed points unfolded in full. The Dalongwo, Chazhuang, and Longtanhe visitor centers simultaneously opened check-in and ticket-collection stations, where couples and married pairs could receive a “Marriage Bond Pass” stamp card free of charge with their ID cards. Visitors followed the hiking route to love-themed photo spots including Magpie Bridge, Echo Platform, Resting Brush Terrace, Sacred Peak Worship Terrace, Trial of Hearts Bridge at Tianchi Peak, and Alchemy Lake. There, they interacted with NPCs portraying Dong Yong and the Seventh Fairy, Zhou Yu and Xiao Qiao, Emperor Wu of Han, and Zuo Ci, and took part in experiences such as drawing top love fortunes, valley confessions, writing red romance ribbons, performing the three-bow ancient rite, hanging prayer plaques, and couple-chemistry word-guessing games. At each point, they collected themed stamps representing “Fate, Loyalty, Realization, Vow, Steadfastness, and Fulfillment.” On the mist-wrapped summits, red prayer ribbons, echoing valleys, and lovers’ confessions blended together, filling the air with Qixi romance. Collecting any three stamps allowed visitors to redeem Qixi-limited cultural and creative gifts, and the on-site interaction was lively and enthusiastic.

In the evening, the national-style parade began in the Xuehuli Historic and Cultural District, and the “Tianzhu Has Love” Opera Music Concert was wonderfully staged at the Xuehuli Grand Stage. The opera gala unfolded in three acts—“First Meeting at the Silver River,” “Walking Together Through Wind and Moon,” and “Promising This Life to Each Other.” Continuing to take mountains and waters as its medium and culture as its soul, Tianzhushan enabled more visitors to feel the unique charm of the “Mountain of Love” where nature and humanity meet. The program lineup included the opening group dance “Starlight and Magpie Whispers,” the male–female duet “Sending Longing Across the Milky Way,” the classical folk ensemble “Gazing at the Moon on Qixi,” the situational recitation “A Thousand Years of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl,” the Huiju opera medley “Spending Each Day and Night Together,” the traditional costume runway “Elegant Robes Meet a Good Match,” the classical duo dance “Guiding the Stars to Cross,” and the grand song-and-dance finale “Year After Year, Sharing the Best of Times.” Blending opera, national-style music, dance, and traditional attire, the performances kept reaching new peaks, drawing continuous applause. After the show, visitors freely enjoyed Xuehuli’s nightscape and could also book the immersive waterborne night-tour performance Lakebound Dreams: Xiao Qiao’s Wedding for a different kind of romantic evening.

This event deeply excavated Tianzhushan’s landscape-based wedding tourism culture and intangible heritage opera resources, integrating marriage and love experiences with mountain hiking, intangible heritage opera, national-style parades, and waterborne night tours. It created a full-day cultural tourism experience of “seeking romance on the mountain by day and enjoying national-style performances by night,” further strengthening Tianzhushan’s Qixi cultural tourism IP and the brand influence of its “Mountain of Love.” Going forward, Tianzhushan will continue to deepen the integrated model of “marriage and love + cultural tourism + intangible heritage + live performance,” enrich its cultural tourism product offerings, and attract more visitors to climb Tianzhushan by day and tour Xuehuli by night, making “Destiny Set at Tianzhu” a romantic memory for more people.
