Boating on Xuehu, Entering a Dream Across a Thousand Years

2026-08-13As the evening breeze brushes across the blue waves of Xuehu, the reflections of the tower and lights shimmer upon the water, breaking a lakeful of flowing radiance into fragments.
A thousand years ago, on the old land of Wan, the grace of the Two Qiaos was recorded in history; a thousand years later, with the lake and mountains as the stage and flowing water as the curtain, Lakebound Dreams: Xiao Qiao’s Wedding slowly begins here.
Board a small sightseeing boat and drift across the lake, with the traveler inside a painting and the drama unfolding before the eyes. As mist rises and light and shadow shift, the gentle melodies of Huangmei Opera float across the lake on the evening breeze, while Zhou Yu and Xiao Qiao’s meeting, understanding, separation, and devotion unfold scene by scene.
Under swaying crimson lights, red-painted boats glide across the waves, and reality meets old dreams here. To the sound of paddles dipping in the water, the boat moves and the scenery changes. We are not only spectators, but also participants stepping into that story of the Three Kingdoms, coming to understand both tenderness and strength of character.
By day, climb Tianzhushan, gaze up at its extraordinary peaks and seas of clouds, and feel the grandeur of the mountains and rivers. By night, head to Xuehu, drift by boat, listen to the music, and encounter a city glowing with lights and cultural romance.
One mountain and one lake, one day and one night—this is the unique poetry of Qianshan.
