In July, Tianzhushan is alive with roaring pine winds and rolling seas of clouds. From June 9 to August 31, 2026, the “Tianzhu Pride Month” nationwide free admission campaign for teachers and students is officially underway, offering a full 84 days of special summer benefits.

Free Admission Scope

Tickets to Tianzhushan’s two core scenic areas are completely free:

• Tianzhu Mountain Main Peak Scenic Area: Climb the thousand-meter peaks and overlook the vast surrounding mountains.

• Valley Stream Cultural Park: Stroll through a landscape rich in cultural heritage and experience the charm of history and humanity.

Who Is Eligible?

• Minors aged 18 and under: Original ID card.

• Full-time enrolled students: Original ID card plus student ID card, or an online verification report from CHSI; applicable to undergraduate, vocational, junior college, and postgraduate students.

• 2026 middle school and college entrance exam candidates: Original ID card plus admission ticket.

• In-service teachers nationwide: Original ID card plus teacher qualification certificate.

Notes

1. Secondary expenses such as scenic transportation and cableway rides are not included and must be paid separately.

2. All eligible visitors enjoying free admission must purchase on-site tourist accident insurance at RMB 5 per person at the visitor center.

3. This campaign does not apply to part-time, correspondence, self-taught examination, online education, adult college entrance examination, or other non-full-time education groups.

How to Enter the Scenic Area

Option 1: Online Reservation

This is the recommended method. Search for the “Tianzhushan Tourism Official Platform” mini program on WeChat or Alipay, select “Tianzhushan Ticket Reservation”, then choose the 0-yuan ticket under the “Tianzhu Pride Month” campaign and complete the information submission.

Option 2: On-Site Registration

Visitors may also go to the manual service window at the visitor center and present the required documents for on-site processing. Since summer is a peak travel season, advance reservation is recommended.

Summer at Tianzhushan: A Sea of Clouds

In midsummer, Tianzhushan becomes a grand stage for the sea of clouds. Standing atop Tianchi Peak or walking along Qinglongbei, visitors can watch layer upon layer of flowing clouds surge like waterfalls through the dramatic peaks and ridges. Wrapped in drifting mist, accompanied by mountain breezes and sweeping views, every step feels like entering a dreamlike landscape.

The best time to encounter the most magnificent sea of clouds is just after rainfall when the sky begins to clear. Under cooler temperatures and high pressure, moisture from the valleys condenses into mist, filling the ravines. Strange peaks and rock formations appear to float above the boundless clouds, emerging and disappearing as the wind stirs the waves of mist into a breathtaking, fairyland-like panorama.

A 20°C Summer

With a forest coverage rate of 97%, Tianzhushan maintains an average summer temperature of around 20°C. Dense mountain woods provide abundant shade, streams run gently through the valleys, and cool breezes wash away the heat of midsummer. It is not only a wonderland of clouds, but also a natural summer retreat — a hidden mountain sanctuary with the comfort of natural air conditioning.
