Want to know the most cost-effective way to visit Tianzhushan? Wondering how to get there, which cableway to choose, whether to spend one day or two, and which sights are absolutely unmissable? Don’t worry — this guide has everything you need.

Part 1 Benefits

Major Perks: Lifetime Free Admission + Free Entry for the Whole Family

Perk 1: Buy Once, Enjoy Lifetime Free Admission
For visitors from Anhui, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Nanchang: if your ID number begins with 34, 3201, 4201, or 3601, you can purchase a designated 2026 promotional ticket and unlock lifetime unlimited free main-gate admission plus admission to Valley Spring Cultural Park, after your first in-person ID entry activation; valid ID is required.
Visitors who study, work, or hold household registration in those four places may also enjoy the policy by bringing their physical ID and supporting documents such as a student ID, work certificate, or social security proof to the designated ticket window.

Spring flowers, summer coolness, autumn cloud seas, and winter snow views — once activated, Tianzhushan can become a place you return to again and again.

Perk 2: One Ticket Purchased, the Whole Family Enters Free
For residents of Anqing City and Zongyang County, one family member may purchase one designated promotional ticket, and the remaining family members listed in the same household registration book can enjoy free admission; if spouses are on different household books, the marriage certificate, household registration book, and IDs can be used for verification.
Please note that family members receiving free entry still need to purchase visitor accident insurance at 5 yuan per person.

Part 2 Getting There

High-Speed Rail
Take a high-speed train to Qianshan Railway Station, then transfer to the scenic-area direct shuttle bus. The one-way fare is 10 yuan, and the ride to Tianzhushan Chazhuang Visitor Center takes about 50 minutes.

Driving
For the East Gate Route, navigate to Longtanhe Visitor Center. After purchasing tickets there, you can go directly to the Longtanhe Cableway.
For the West Gate Route, navigate to Chazhuang Visitor Center and park there. After entering the visitor center, transfer to scenic transport serving the Muyanghe Cableway, South Gate hiking entrance, or Dalongwo Cableway area.

Inside the scenic area, buses run between Chazhuang Visitor Center and the Dalongwo/Longtanhe directions. Public reports note that the Dalongwo direction generally requires a transfer from Chazhuang Visitor Center.

Part 3 Cableways

Which of the Three Cableways Should You Choose?

Each cableway offers a different experience. Dalongwo Cableway and Longtanhe Cableway are enclosed gondola-style cableways with broad mountain views, while Muyanghe Cableway uses open chairlift-style cars for a more open-air ride.
During the 2026 May Day holiday, public notices listed unified operating hours for Dalongwo, Muyanghe, and Longtanhe Cableways from 6:00 to 18:00.

  • Dragon's Ridge: a narrow ridge path with steep drops on both sides, one of the most thrilling stretches in the scenic area.

  • Great Heavenly Gate: a natural stone gate with sheer rock walls, especially dramatic when sunlight cuts through the opening.
