2026-07-03Dear visitors,
According to the weather forecast, Tianzhushan Scenic Area is expected to experience continued rainfall in the coming days, with some periods of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and short-term strong winds. To ensure the safety of all visitors, we kindly provide the following reminders:
I. Travel Safety Reminder
During periods of heavy rainfall, mountain roads may become slippery and the risk of geological hazards may rise sharply. Visitors are advised to plan their trips carefully and travel with caution.
Travel agencies are requested to closely monitor weather changes, proactively inform visitors of safety precautions, and explain the situation clearly. It is recommended that organized tour groups temporarily suspend visits to Tianzhushan Scenic Area during periods of heavy rainfall.
II. Essential Safety Tips for Mountain Visits
Rain and slip protection:
Wear non-slip hiking shoes and carry a raincoat. Do not use metal umbrellas. Walk slowly on wet steps, hold the handrails firmly when going downhill, and consider bringing a trekking pole for added support.
Lightning safety:
During thunderstorms, stay away from isolated trees, utility poles, metal railings, and steep cliffs. Move indoors promptly to shelter from the rain, and do not remain on exposed mountain tops for photos.
Keep away from dangerous waters:
Do not approach rivers, mountain ponds, or low-lying waterlogged areas. Never enter rivers to watch or play in the water. If river levels rise suddenly, move immediately to higher ground on either side.
III. Self-Driving Safety Notes
Mountain roads have many curves and are prone to landslides and standing water. In rainy weather, reduce speed and keep a greater distance from the vehicle ahead. If you encounter flooded roads, falling rocks, or traffic control measures, take a detour on the spot and do not attempt to pass through danger. Do not park vehicles in low-lying areas or below slopes.
IV. Scenic Area Emergency Control Measures
During rainfall, the scenic area will intensify inspections of slopes, walkways, and waterside sections. If dangerous conditions such as a red rainstorm warning, landslides, or falling rocks occur, hazardous sections will be temporarily closed, and scenic area and cableway operations may be suspended. On-site staff will guide visitors to evacuate in an orderly manner. Your understanding and cooperation are appreciated.
